James De Leon
James De Leon is 27 year old self taught photographer whose images you may have seen popping up on our Flickr Pool on the sidebar. Currently residing in San Francisco and predominantly shooting film, his images often capture the humorous and quirky nature of the streets he inhabits.
“My general approach has always been sort of an homage to to the classic black-and-white film street photographers initially Henri Cartier-Bresson, and later the playful tone of Elliott Erwitt, the temperament of writers such as Kurt Vonnegut and Richard Brautigan, and unconventionally from stand-up comedy (The observational aspect of it).
Though cliché, for me, it’s about finding an interesting spin on the everyday, but with a unique stylistic delivery”
