These images titled ‘Empty Sweden’ were sent to us from Swiss photographer Roman Bichsel.
Shot during a summer roadtrip around Sweden, Roman has captured tranquil landscapes that although often verging on the banal, create intriguing narratives of each space and its role within the landscape….
“For me the abandoned objects evoke imaginations about how they were used earlier. with this the objects lose the condition of old and being unusable and move to the condition of readiness for future inspirit. the emptiness of the situations gives the freedom to fantasize about past and future.“
Roman does not have a portfolio of his own, but currently co-curates the blog Not Every Detail
