Alain Marciano

October 20, 2012

Alain is an illustrator who recently contacted us to share some of his latest work, he has been drawing from the age of 15 although lately has been intrigued by the creation of collages, when discussing his approach to collage he told us:

“Once I tried a collage and it worked,I liked what I did. But I find collages difficult. It’s like a sculpture, or sampling music. I find using bits and pieces made by others more difficult than creating everything. Being able to gather pieces of paper and make them fit together is too complex for me. I do simple collages, but collages to which my drawings can bring something. The common denominator between my collages and my drawings is that I want to show different levels of reality; I want to break the reality of the photography in different pieces, just like I want to reconstruct reality through drawings.
