‘Film Stills from my Daydreams’

Julia is a 24 year old photographer from Austria who currently studies fine art at Bauhaus-Universität, Weimar. She recently sent us a submission with the following statement…
“Film stills from my daydreams”, that’s my username on flickr. But,even more importantly, it’s also the title to all of my photographs. I always try to capture very dreamy, poetic moments, as if I had to write a poem about the world without using words. My pictures are also – as many poems are – a declaration of love. With each picture I take, I’m declaring my love to the beauty of nature, of the world, or at least what’s left of it.”

“Another important part of my photography is to collect my personal memories and especially the feelings I combine with my photographs. By looking at them I’m able to evoke the feelings I had when I took them, I remember where I was, why I was there and what I felt. It’s very important to me to “document” my life like this ’cause I always have the feeling if you can’t remember something, it is like you’ve never experienced it.”
