Maria Baoli

Maria Baoli is a currently based in Madrid, and a recent graduate in Advertising and public relations at the Complutence University.
Inspired by the photographs of Nan Goldin Maria soon realized the potential of photography to capture intimate moments and to keep tracks of her emotions. When describing her relationship with photography Maria told us…
“I’m in between Fine art and Documentary Photography. I really enjoy all the process that Photography embraces: from sketching the idea, creating staged pictures, giving directions to the model, capturing the spontaneous movements,as well as taking the time to experiment with light, the human body shapes and nature environments however, I also have this need to photograph what I see, I find both challenging.
Additionally I’m more interested in analog photography. I like the mystery and magic (even if many times it’s disappointing), the slow and deliberate side of this technique. I find very interesting the imperfect side which breaks the established order.”
